For comparison purposes, schools have been split into three groups based on the highest grade level served by that school (6th, 8th, and 12th). For example, a school serving students through grade 6 can be compared with other schools serving students through grade 6.

Each group consists of four categories (0.0%-25.0%, 25.1%-50.0%, 50.1%-75.0%, and 75.1%-100.0% free and reduced lunch percentage). For example, a school serving students through grade 6 with a 15% free and reduced lunch percentage can be compared across other schools serving students through grade 6 with a free and reduced lunch percentage ranging from 0-25%.
